This webinar provides an overview of Open Data NYC projects and use case with a focus on climate literacy and climate adaptation solutions for in the built environment.

A climate literate (1) person is able to make informed decisions related to climate change. Specifically, through our design thinking we need to adapt to social, built and natural environments to better withstand the impacts of climate change. Through the education modules produced by the Simulated and Measured Environments Lab (SaME Lab), Architecture students learn to observe, measure and interpret building performance simulation, interpret local code, laws and guidelines (ie LL97).These practices develop students’ sensitivity to climate concerns and adaptive solutions.
