Discover map databases and Internet mapping tools. This workshop covers:

• Recognize a brief overview of historic map sources, reading map keys and indexes of the fire insurance maps.
• Learn how to use the database Fire Insurance Maps Online (FIMO).
• Identify additional historical map sources including the New York Public Library and the Library of Congress.
• Select from several notable locations to complete map exercises.
